Dan joined the firm in 2006 as a partner to assist the firm with growth and expansion of its generalist practice and to leverage his solid foundation with a fortune 500 company in serving our clients.   Dan has been involved in multiple successful engagements to date from Director to CEO level assignments for several healthcare, banking/Financial Services, manufactruing and agri-business clients among others.    Client assignments have spanned the US to include Seattle, Los Angeles, Memphis, Knoxville, Chicago, Madison, Houston, Philadelphia, several secondary markets througought the Midwest as well as Canada and Russia.  In 2009 Dan was elevated to the firm’s Managing Partner and was instrumental in positioning the firm to be chosen by Cornerstone International as their Midwestern affiliate member. 

Heiman began his professional career serving the healthcare industry where he spent 17 years in highly specialized medical technology sales, sales management, recruiting and business development for one of the industry’s most respected high tech medical device manufacturers.  Dan’s sales and business development work was recognized nationally and he was highly regarded for Neurovascular service line development by some of the top healthcare systems in the country.  Heiman’s family also has banking and agri-business interests rounding out his generalist background.  Dan’s business development work along with his sales / sales management and recruiting / consulting  experience uniquely positions him to fully appreciate the importance of human capital to an organization preparing him well for management consulting with Michael Shirley Associates.

Community involvement includes Member of Cornerstone International - top 10 global retained executive search consortiums; City of Leawood Planning Commissioner; Church of the Nativity Parish Council; Member of Catholic Charities Snowball Patron Committee; member of the Knights of Columbus;  Frequent invited guest speaker to industry.  Dan and his wife Jennifer reside in Leawood, KS with their five children.
